Anna Scionti
Anna Scionti is a powerhouse of modern blues. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Scionti has carved out a fierce reputation for her distinctive blend of blues, roots, and rock. With her signature mix of cigar box, resonator, lap steel, and six-string guitars, she creates a sound that’s raw and unmistakably her own. Slide guitar, swampy grooves, and stories that cut straight to the bone.
A regular on the Australian festival circuit, Scionti has played to packed audiences across the country, building a loyal following drawn to her honesty, intensity, and musical craft. In 2023, Scionti received recognition from the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society as Blues Performer of the Year (Solo/Duo Category) and represented Melbourne at the 2024 International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN, USA, making it to the Semi-finals.
Having lost both her parents as a teenager, Scionti turned to music as an outlet. Her original songs tell stories of love, loss, and longing and are uninhibited, raw and unapologetic in their honesty. They are songs from the heart. Album releases include: ‘Sparrow And The Fox’, ‘Junkbox Racket’, ‘Orphan Diary’ (nominated for ‘Best Blues Album’ at the 2019 Music Victoria Awards) and her 2017 self-titled EP.
