Have you ever dreamt about performing on stage at the Port Fairy Folk Festival? Here’s your chance to shine!
Future Folk is back to support young emerging artists and performers hailing from South West Victoria.
The Future Folk program is supported by Moyne Shire Council through the Victorian Government FReeZA program. As part of the 2024 Port Folk Festival, Future Folk participants will work with established arts in one-on-one and group mentoring sessions before, during and after the festival.
Whether you’re a singer, songwriter, a musician or a band, this is your chance to gain valuable skills from professional artists and experience performing in front of a festival audience.
Future Folk participant conditions:
- All participants must be between the ages of 12-25
- Applicants must be from South West Victoria
Future Folk participants will receive:
- A full 20-minute set performance on Fiddlers Green as part of an emerging artist showcase
- A performance in the festival arena
- 5 session mentoring program plus two one-on-one mentor sessions
- Artists will also receive payment for their performance
