Brian Nankervis
Brian has been writing, producing and co-hosting ‘RocKwiz’ since 2005. Brian co-hosts ‘The Friday Revue’ and hosts ‘Saturday Breakfast’ on ABC Radio Melbourne. From 2021 to 2023 he hosted ‘Songs and Stories’, a national ABC radio show. He was a writer/performer on ‘Let The Blood Run Free’ from 1985 to 1992 and appeared regularly on ‘Hey Hey It’s Saturday’ as the enthusiastic poet, Raymond J Bartholomeuz.
Recent television appearances include playing funeral director Sterling Knickerbocker on the ABC comedy series, ‘Fisk’ and co-hosting Blockwiz on ‘The Block’. Other television credits include ‘Jimeoin’, ‘The Smallest Room In The House’ and ‘Pictures Of You’.
In 2013, Brian narrated and acted in ‘Vandemonian Lags’. Other theatre credits include ‘Storming St Kilda By Tram’, ‘On Shifting Sandshoes’ and ‘Full House, No Vacancies’ for Theatreworks.
Brian contributes regularly to radio 3RRR and is an experienced MC and performer for public events and corporate functions. He performs a poetry show in schools. Brian was a primary school teacher who fled the classroom in 1985 to work at Melbourne’s legendary theatre restaurant The Last Laugh.
