Feelds
Feelds is the project of Naarm-based songwriter and producer, James Seymour, who has an aptitude for creating intricate, multi-faceted worlds from the simplest of ideas. After amassing over 3 million streams with his debut EP, ‘Hunch’, Feelds quickly turned his attention to crafting his debut album, ‘Cut Your Teeth’. Singles, ‘Kill The Moon’ and ‘Bloody Mary’ earned rotation on triple J and Double J and saw the live band perform alongside Gretta Ray and Didirri.
A lockdown project saw Feelds collaborate with Melbourne artist, Merpire, on a one-off EP under the name, ‘Wilson’s Prom’. It garnered praise from triple J Unearthed and NME, whilst also becoming the #1 most added on the North American College and Community Radio charts in the U.S. James began writing with artists like Julia Deans and Mimi Gilbert for his sophomore album, ‘Brilliant Mud’, which also featured a star-studded cast including Zack Levine (Pinegrove), Allysha Joy and Elizabeth M. Drummond.
Recorded and mixed by Seymour, ‘Brilliant Mud’ is the embodiment of taking time to do things right. The result is a meticulously layered record that evokes a different emotion upon each listen and a genre-bending insight into the eclectic mind of Seymour.
