Lindigo (REU)

For 20 years, the Lindigo group, led by Olivier Araste, has been Reunion Island’s most popular Maloya group. Their approach goes beyond nostalgia, using their roots to build the future—this is the essence of “Maloya Power.” With over 1,500 concerts, seven albums, and numerous hits (Domoun, Ahinama), they captivate audiences with their vibrant performances. On stage, the eight-member group blends acoustic Maloya with Afrobeat, Mandingo, and Afro-Cuban music, creating an infectious and inclusive experience.

If the story of Lindigo were a song, its rhythm would be a refrain of love and freedom, with nonstop chords on eternal springs. A thrilling journey, nestled in a rare music box, where the vocals summon the spirit and each note envelops the soul. Oyé maloya! An ode to life! Lindigo’s music breaks the limits of imagination, always authentic and simple.

From Réunion to global stages, Lindigo tells a story deeply rooted in Maloya for over twenty years. From pain to hope, adventure to love, joy to ecstasy, emotions resonate with each beat of the roulér. This fervor shines in their new opus. Songs intertwine, destinies merge. Lindigo, the defender of Maloya culture, cherished in every kabar. Thrilling and dazzling, like the sun on the horizon or night embracing the world. A light in the darkness.
