SKYSCRAPER STAN & THE COMMISSION FLATS

The first-born child of a novelist and a documentary editor, “Skyscraper” Stan Woodhouse was raised with an innate appreciation for language. Originally classing himself as a country musician, Skyscraper Stans’ earlier influences included pre-war blues, the Laurel Canyon songwriters, Nick Cave and Sam Cooke. Just before COVID hit, Stan Moved to Ballarat, and spent the lockdowns honing his craft with long-time collaborator and some say his favourite cousin Oskar Herbig and the new addition of Sam Boon (Sasquatch), who is bringing a saxyness to the ‘scrapers new sound. Together they have been electrifying venues big and small across Victoria and NSW with tunes new and old that cater to all dancefloor enthusiasts.
