Judy Collins (USA)

In her first Australian concerts in over a decade, Judy Collins will perform her best-known songs in spellbindingly intimate performance at Port Fairy Folk Festival.

As well as Judy’s stunning rendition of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now”, the show will feature renowned Collins songs such as “Diamonds And Rust”, “Michael From The Mountain”, “Angels In The Snow”, and “Amazing Grace”, as well as songs by Leonard Cohen, Jimmy Webb, and Bob Dylan, and her Grammy winning rendition of “Send In The Clowns”.

A Greenwich Village contemporary of Joan Baez, Cohen, and Bob Dylan, and the inspiration for Crosby, Stills & Nash’s “Judy Blue Eyes”, the Grammy Award-winning Collins is esteemed for her imaginative interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk standards, and her own poetically poignant original compositions.

Judy has Grammys for “Both Sides Now”, and “Send In The Clowns”, and more recently was further nominated in 2017 and 2023. In 2017, Judy’s version of Amazing Grace” was selected by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or artistically significant”.
