Melbournebased singersongwriters Heide Peverelle, Gracie Sinclair and Jeanie Pilkington combined voices in late 2019 to create Folk Bitch Trio. A summer of gigs throughout Melbourne’s north followed the melancholy, raw listeners with their gentle guitar melodies and rich vocal harmony. While taking influence from contemporary folk artists such as Gillian Welch, Julia Jacklin and The Staves, Folk Bitch Trio combine their individual voices into a lush blend of confessional lyricism and threepart harmony, which showcases a sound of their own. In the short time since their debut, Folk Bitch Trio have drawn attention and praise form some high music echelons.
